5 days without ....
hanging out on Facehole...or writing a blog...Well here's what I've been doing....
organizing for Spring! yes, finally...some sun...some rain...and I made some jewelry ...
Oh and I took about 200 hundred pictures of new stuff to be listed...some have already sold before I even got a chance to blog it or facehole it!
dang people...
;-)
Soon, it will be Mother's Day....and people will marry....and then of course, the Sunny days will make you all high...and you'll say, "Gee, I need some nice and nifty new things....I feel Good!!"
A beauty...of white pearl charms, white satin ribbon...Romance and hearts...a brass ball locket, a cloisonne heart in deep blue.....since love should be deep or why bother?
lots of little pearly and brass and goldtone charms....and of course....a Vintage key...I attached the strand of charms to the pearls using an A and a B Art Deco letters.....
It can also be worn as a choker...
I made a romantic pin...sweet and old-fashioned. All vintage pieces....a goldtone bow pin with a pearly chain drop with an I Love You heart vintage brass locket.....awwwww....

Mrs. Parker
Constant use had not worn ragged the fabric of their friendship.
if all I had to do..
if all I wanted to do..
all day,
I'd read and quote Dorothy Parker.
I finished this embellished broken pin.....it had lost 2 of its pink rhinestones, and that left just the holes in the brass stamping......
so a hole must be filled, and I filled it in with brass loops from which I hung brass chains....which is so me..
if it's droopy and falling....I love it.
I hope you do too.
on etsy, thatyountvillegirl......
It's Queenly.....
a Brass heraldic shape, white enamel, and a brass key......all with patina.
The locket is also enameled with white, and a tiny rose with green leaves...and an oval pearly bead.
Mrs. Parker....
from PoemHunter.........
Born in 1893, at 23 years old in "1916, Parker sold some of her poetry to the editor of Vogue, and was given an editorial position on the magazine. In 1917 she married Edwin Pond Parker II, a stockbroker, whom she later divorced. Edwin was wounded in World War I, he was an alcoholic, and during the war he became addicted to morphine.
From 1917 to 1920 Parker worked for Vanity Fair. With two other writers Robert Benchley and Robert Sherwood, Parker formed the nucleus of the Algonquin Round Table, an informal luncheon club held at New York City's Algonquin Hotel on Forty-Fourth Street.
Other members included Ring Lardner and James Thurber. Parker was usually the only woman in the group."
"Alan Rudolph's film Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle (1994), starring Jennifer Jason Leigh, Campbell Scott, Matthew Broderick, depicted the life of the author and her friends around the famous Algonquin Round Table."
Surprise ! the 20s mostly.....

it's my small world.......
like other tiny people, I like tiny things.
tiny keys
tiny buttons
tiny thread
tiny tiny little things.
I like little works of art. a little world in the palm of your hand, because it is, really.
in thatyountvillegirl on etsy.
it started with trying to make something more masculine (I know) that wasn't beer, bacon or another.tie.
for a guy or gal, I don't care which, when they wanna add some snap to the outfit, the lapel, the hat, the bag....a PIN.
a brooch, too.
I also wanted it to be not-leather.
I started with the base...ultrasuede from the 70s. It's a synthetic that looks a lot like suede. tiny keys, tiny charms, cotton string, and no glue.
wool tweed or herringbone for the back. well, it feels so good.
The natural colors...and recycled from stuff that was tossed away.... from days long ago.
natural patina, natural rust....cotton string.
and each one has a tiny little fabric bag...so it's ready for a gift ...for yourself too!
the shop.
yes...a tiny sterling silver spoon.......
honey bee.
yes, right here.......
