The Maxi Dress !!
Oh Sure....for the last 2 years or so....the fashion mags have shown Maxis! not the pads...no......the fun long dresses that last had a resurgence in the 70s.....and again in the early 90s........This time they're calling them Patio Dresses !
I don't have a patio....I have a parking lot. Onward.....
MAXI OR PATIO DRESS, AND WHY?
I really hate the word maxi, but it's burned into the brain......I'll use Patio dress.....though it will likely get mixed up with the Fiesta (squaw) Dress of the 40s and 50s !!

AS A TREND, WILL IT BE A HIT OR A MISS?
If they aren't too tight, but flowing, I think most gals can wear them. But I don't think it will catch on, but for nighttime parties in the summer.
DO YOU WEAR MAXI DRESSES OR SKIRTS?
I'm rather gothy and romantic.....so yes yes yes.....
PROS AND CONS?
The nasty nasty bulletproof polyester ones with Mother of the Bride tendencies need to die...or at be least cut into a mini !!
Pros: covers a multitude of sins! Looks pretty and graceful and dramatic.
Cons: If they're too long, and you don't perfect the proper pull-up-the-skirt when walking up or down stairs, you will fall on your face. Not sexy !
And on we go to Vintage Bulletin . Mmmm, I can't wait for next week's goodies !! on eVintage blog go-round!
