In the next 2- 3 days the last of my Halloweenie things will get listed...and then I'm off to get back to Middle Autumn...
More vintage men clothes and shoes.......

more tweeds, more sweaters, more wools, and lots of lingerie...new armwarmers and a few hats.
The next collection of thatyountvillegirl tote bags will be ....some tweeds and plaids with a bit of glitter.
As the days get shorter and cooler here, they get summery-er down under...so pretty dresses and a few swimsuits will appear.

I'm designing the December collection right now..collecting the fabrics and trimmings, and putting together the winter vintage clothes to list come early November...
...Edwardian Bayberry is my Muse....shades of green and white and all the ivories....

These 2 things are in my head, & are what my late autumn and early winter will look and feel like...........

20 new listings coming up. Classics. Fun stuff. Preppy. Romantic. Practical. and some darling vintage home decor....
And then, later on Saturday, if the rain doesn't wash me out...I'm off to visit a nursery or 2 and buy some bulbs to plant now for spring flowers....Thinking ahead...I want some purple and orange and gold and pink and lime green flowers....
I want some russet and yellow, and wine and rose, and brown and cream chrysanthemums...I want some pumpkins!
So...this week .....fall coats, a warm sweater, a stunning dress, a fun dress, 2 boots, pretty blouses..and more......all with autumn on the brain.......

I wish these were my size....I wish the 60s coffee and cream saddle shoes were my size........they are size 8. They are made of bacon. Lucky you!!!

Sneaking in the Fall

Temps are gonna hit the 80s, says the weatherman...but we know fall is coming on...in a few weeks! I'm looking at my closet thinking....What?

Khaki's are nice...a cotton shirt, but now I'm gonna tie a harvest color scarf as a headband....a lot more brown leather.....September seems to want tea-stained linen, some orange and rust, and blue....
Plaid, dark denim, and nature prints of birds and feathers, acorns, home garden fruits and vegetables....

In just a few weeks it will be Autumn 2009....a few nights ago...was a tremendously buttercream full moon.....a preview of the true Harvest Moon...up in the sky.....

and the cold and the rains and the fogs will come........
and clear cold blue skies....
a crunchy leaves of russet, gold, burgundy, and orange....
