The description says lining is loose, but doesn't affect wearability. As a former painting contractor, I always used top quality protection. Most people won't want to spend the money to buy the protective equipment to tackle the job you describe. yes it can be done, but not without thinking it through and doing it correctly. For most people, tossing old funky fashion boots is the right thing. I save thousands of old thing, old clothes and such every year, and it breaks my heart when I can't rescue everything and reuse it. Proper protective gear is an absolute must. Otherwise, no. propriatresshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16694898527978152332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408278716063752455.post-76736247389457480632015-01-26T08:48:27.070-08:002015-01-26T08:48:27.070-08:00Add Brighton shoes and G.H. I have two pair of Bass shoes and one pair of Brightons that can utterly destroy a pair of socks. If old boots are lined in leather, or a made of one layer of leather, then there is no worry! It's the knit linings that break down, and the old glue that is a worry. propriatresshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16694898527978152332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408278716063752455.post-16107997251379722732013-09-30T22:08:58.046-07:002013-09-30T22:08:58.046-07:00In the Late 1990s and Early 2000s my Gramps was ST...In the Late 1990s and Early 2000s my Gramps was STILL wearing some of the Vintage Cowboy boots he had purchased back in the 1950s and 60s...granted most of his boots were made by companies like Stetson, Tony Lama, Dan Post, Shepler...but he took GOOD Care of his boots, he replaced the soles when the wore out, and cleaned and polished them regularly as well as always put boot holders in them...are you saying those boots are no good as well? I live in a rental, but Winnie is my real home.
Both of the white-interior RVs in this post are so pretty. If you read through the cottage-style blog about the redone white RV with all the little prints, they replaced a lot of things, but they had an eye on a small budget.
I know you're gonna have a lot of fun with your new sewing machine. I use stencils a lot on my walls and on cushion covers and bits of wooden planks and swop them with my sisters ones.
I've just got my new sewing machine and want to start recycling old clothes of which I have a ton, as I used to hoard stuff. I've decided to unclutter my house so I've got lots of useless stuff to re-use.
My first project was cutting up old corderoy pants and a torn check shirt of my hubbies resulting in granny squares and a curdoroy cell phone pouch for my Tracfone smart phone LG500G, so I don't get to scratch or shatter the screen. I sewed a little check giraffe motive on the phone pouch, which looks really sweet.
My next project is to make a denim bag from one of my old jeans that don't fit anymore.
Your blog is inspirational and dynamic and I get exited by looking at all your economic ideas.Lesleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04297392662637579306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408278716063752455.post-64358987814307731602012-05-18T21:56:32.955-07:002012-05-18T21:56:32.955-07:00butter butt.....or jaundice. whatev'butter butt.....or jaundice. whatev'propriatresshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16694898527978152332noreply@blogger.com
