thanks for this News Tribune. I'm very happy your business model is failing. And I despise the roll over Ad thing if I'm slumming and reading you online. Since Jen Graves left...well, just close up now.
from the NT...
A News Tribune reporter spotted Hecht’s blue Nissan car in the area twice in the evening in late November. Hecht was at the wheel on at least one of those occasions.
OMFG!! I drive down Antique Row all the time!!! I MUST be cruising for sex !! Right? Sure! What the hell is that about? Does that prove an allegation? No. It's mealy mouth libelous speech. Hecht comes in our shop and visits us at least once a week. I've known Hecht for years. Through antiques and vintage, and because we chat about law.....2 of my favorite subjects.
And what was I just saying about Antique Row being bad-mouthed. Thanks a lot for that News Tribune Reporter,ADAM LYNN; adam.lynn@thenewstribune.com
Adam, for the record, stay the hell outta my Beach Community, Loser.
From now on, I'm wrapping my garbage exclusively in The News Tribune. Sorry Grit Bloggers.
I fully understand that the newspapers have to report "the news", but alleging in an article that seeing someone in his car twice in an area, Implying that an allegation by a drug addict, recorded by the son of Defeated Judge Armijo, is "news" or worthy of being printed is wrong, and helps to spread rumors that have only one intention:
Tar the reptutation of Judge-elect Hecht.
Check a Google Map. City Hall is 1 block away from Antique Row !! OH NO !! It's a Den of Iniquity in Downtown Tacoma..stay away!
OK, Let's discuss Judge Armijo.
Tacoma News Tribune Executive Editor, David Zeeck, said:
"Taken together the ratings plus the comments give voters a clear picture of who they've hired to deliver justice in Pierce County. Read all the comments, and you'll get a good feel for the abilities of each judge."
(TPCBA.com See link: Pierce County Superior Court Judicial Performance Evaluation)
Only with the promise of anonymity could these lawyers avoid reprisals from Judge Armijo. They reported in the Tacoma Pierce County Bar Association Evaluation (pages 48-50) the following:
1. He should be removed from the bench for being the worst judge in Pierce County Superior Court bench history.
2. He refused to recognize and prevent acts of domestic violence.
3. He seems, however, to have great difficulty grasping some fairly basic legal concepts.
4. His ability to understand the law and apply the law to the facts before him is non-existent.
5. Lazy and does not read any of the materials or law, retire him.
6. Biased against Hispanics - decides cases based on socioeconomic status.
And there is more much much more about what a Jackass is Armijo. As a paralegal I have known for years that this jackass judge is a disgrace to the legal profession, and .......write the lawyer joke yourself.
Just to clarify:
So if a homeless convicted criminal drug addict or 2, goes to a man whose father was defeated in a fair election, and then blabs a bunch of allegations about sex, I guess we are supposed to believe it. Well, investigate it then. That is what The Law is all about.
Antique Row has its share of um, interesting characters. Like me. But if you really wanna see Shady Dealings going on, I suggest going to a County Council meeting, or a City Council meeting...you know Sausage Making.
My favorite quotes from the trib article:
Most of the information was compiled by Morgan Armijo, the incumbent judge’s son and a private investigator by trade. He told The News Tribune he began looking into Hecht’s background last summer after two people told him the judge-elect had engaged in inappropriate activity. Judge Armijo told The News Tribune he was aware of his son’s investigation but had no role in it.
The News Tribune found Hesketh and interviewed him Dec. 2. He is an admitted drug addict with a misdemeanor criminal record, including convictions for petty theft, vehicle prowling, trespassing on public property and escaping police custody.
In an interview with The News Tribune, Hesketh was unable to say exactly when the alleged encounters with Hecht began or whether he’d reached the age of consent – 16 in Washington.
