Poorly Worded Signs + Darkness =

Misunderstanding ! OK. The sign said:
No Parking Tuesday after 7 am...blah blah blah.....
That leads one to believe that there is
NO Parking starting Tuesday at 7 am and on to infinity.....
It's true!
Of course that is not what was meant by the signs scattered about on Broadway..funky funky Broadway.
The big men with big trucks and even bigger muscles were moving our big concrete planter boxes because OH JOY!! our street is about to be torn up.
Word up....
How about this:
No Parking
Near Planters
Tuesday Only
7 am - 6 pm.
I have the Pollyanna belief that my government is here to serve ME,
not to confound me and make my life harder than it already is...

And you do know, I'll be noting the progress of the Revamping of Antique Row....

and of course there will be no parking for months....Good Luck to us All on Antique Row !!
But on a happier note !!
FIRST NIGHT !!
of course we'll be open....and havin' a Ball Ya'll..........

A little trip down memory lane...
sidewalks and planters and the old wood box which will move....

hi,
i just realized that i have visited your shop when i was in town to see my family who lives there. as another "little shop" owner in another big, macho town, i also sympathesize with your plight about closing the road and other stuff!
one quick question: mom said that the other vintage fashion shop near 9th on broadway got flooded and closed (!!) is that true?, if so, that's sad.
hope all is well, will drop in next time to say "hi"

Hi Jen.......I"m happy you came my humble little shop of goodness! I think the you mean is Glenna's...I was out visiting with my neighbors on NY's eve and no one mentioned that her shop was flooded/closed. I"ll check it out and report back, tho. That would be tremendously sad. Last Dec. I suffered a flood in my old location and lost a lot of great stuff....Glenna does keep limited hours, and I wouldn't be surprised if she closed for the break until late in the first week of January.
I am trying to be philosophical about the closing of my street....it will look pretty when they're are done with it...They did the few streets around me and it look nice...So, I gotta just suffer!!
We have a lot of things in common!! I am a sewing and fabric nut ball.
and we have etsy shops, tho I am redoing mine in the next week.
I"ll be checking you out tons from now on.........
I'll let you know about Glenna's.......
